Green Chili Quiche

      GRANNY SAYS: Here is a secret — I had never actually made quiche until my friend Maxine contributed this recipe! If I'd known how easy this was, (and how good) I'd have been serving it for years!

     

One 10-inch pie shell 1-1/2 cups grated jack cheese
1 cup grated sharp Cheddar 1/3 cup diced green chili peppers
1 cup heavy cream 3 eggs, beaten
1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. cumin
  • Bake the pie shell.
  • Line shell with cheeses, spread chilies over cheese.
  • Stir together cream, eggs, and seasonings and pour over chilies and cheese in pie shell.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes until done in the center and very lightly browned.
