Ah, but when they encounter the mysterious Serpent's Daughter, and she offers them her help, Ware hesitates. What are her true motives— and is she friend, or foe?

This is the first in a series of three books that tell the history of the last kings of Avianne. Although each book is complete in itself, the second and third books, "The Phoenix," and "The Crown," continue the story through its final thrilling conclusion.Those books will be online soon.
